My friend and I were looking for day trips from Seville and were so happy to stumble upon this tour to Alhambra! Seeing the Alhambra Palace was on our bucket list and we still can’t believe we got to walk inside a palace that’s 780 years old! As we were walking through the palace, each room blew us away with its detailed architecture. We also got to see beautiful views of Granada and snap many photos that look like postcards. Can’t recommend this tour enough!

VISIT THE ALHAMBRA PALACE
The first sight on this tour will be Alhambra Palace, a famous UNESCO World Heritage Site. As you walk through the halls of the palace with your guide talking about its history, you’ll see the intricacies of the Islamic architecture present in all areas of the palace. The most famous part of the palace that you're going to see is the Court of the Lions and its magnificent fountain supported by 12 lions right at the center. You will also see the Palace of Charles V built in the 16th century featuring a circular patio which is the most important Renaissance-style building in Spain.
NEXT STOP - GENERALIFE GARDENS
Your tour will continue to the Generalife Gardens which kings used as their summer residence. The Generalife is divided into four terraced orchards, a residential area, and a meadow that surrounds the estate. As you explore the gardens you’ll also see the Promenade of the Cypress Trees and the Promenade of Walnut Trees.
DISCOVER THE ALCAZABA OF ALHAMBRA
Next, you’ll get to explore the Alcazabra, a fortress and one of the oldest parts of the Alhambra complex. The earliest recorded reference to Alcazaba was in 889 but the current complex was built by Mohammed I. He added three towers including a 27-meter high Watch Tower, and walls around the whole complex to make it a real fortress.

Water is everywhere in the Alhambra Palace complex. It flows all around the complex, comes from the fountains, and there is the irrigation system that keeps the plants in the Generalife Gardens healthy.
One water feature was made specifically to help cool the inside of the Palace. This is the marble pool in the middle of the Court of Myrtles. The pool is 111 feet (34 meters) long and 23 feet (7 meters) wide. The water in it absorbs heat, helping the Palace stay cool.
